Bite Beauty’s New ‘Amuse Bouche’ Collection

If you’re as obsessed with Bite Beauty as I am, you may have already heard that they are phasing out their OG line of Luminous Creme Lipsticks…. I’ll allow that some time to sink in.

The beloved shades that adorned our lips for the past few years will be going away forever. Why, you ask? For whatever reason, be it marketing, product development, or just trying to stay fresh, they are making room for a whole NEW core line of lipsticks called ‘Amuse Bouche’.

For those of you who don’t know a lick of the francais, ‘amouse bouche’ basically means a bite-sized hors d’oeuvre. At least, that’s what wikipedia says. Weird, cute, French, and fitting with their positioning about having FOOD-grade lipsticks. It’s brilliant.

While the Amuse Bouche collection is not yet available for purchase, you CAN see all 34 new shades on Each costs $26 a pop, which is $2 more than what the Luminous Creme Lipstick cost #SadFace. But they come in, what I believe to be, a wider range of colors.

From a super dark purple called ‘Black Truffle’ to an understated mauve brown called ‘Chia Mauve’, they offer subtle and bold colors.

They have new packing as well. Anyone else notice how the lipstick dripping off of the lips looks a lot like Kylie Jenner’s new line of liquid lipsticks?

While Kylie Jenner’s products came out first, who knows who first thought of that aesthetic? That could have been in the works for months. It’s also a terribly popular visual on Instagram. So who knows? #Mysteries

Anyway, back on track, if you’re a fan of the Luminous Creme colors Pepper or Fig, have no fear. Those colors will be available in the new formulation! This is great, because, when I used to work at Sephora, I found Pepper to be a color that looked flattering on a astonishing amount of skin tones and undertones. Seriously, check it out.

The Amuse Bouche collection will be released on Sephora stores on March 4th, or you can sign up for email alerts on Sephora now. Prepare your wallets!
