Ah, the ‘About Me’ section of a website. How rarely it’s actually visited. Because, in all honesty, who actually gives a shit? You want to get what you want out of this site and peace out. I get it. We’ve all got things going on! But, in the event that you would like to know more about me, and why the hell should even consider my random-ass opinion in a world full of so many… allow me to lay it out for you.
My name is Marina, and I received my Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and Studio Arts. Odd, yes. Waste of money… only half true. Just kidding. #FundTheArts. Anywho, after spending years pursuing a career in medicine, I realized that my heart just wasn’t in it. So I ditched the idea of a white coat and exchanged it for a classy trench and moved to NYC, where I began my career in beauty and got my MBA.
As much as I love the beauty industry, I’ve seen just how confusing and contradictory beauty can be. There are so many terms, ingredients, and opinions. It’s a bit hard to cut through the clutter. I’ve seen how my own friends and family have struggled, and I want to be able to give my advice to all whom it may help. Consider me your beauty sherpa!
Let’s walk together hand-in-hand as we bypass the bullshit and pretentiousness and KEEP. IT. FUCKING. REAL. Whether you love roaming the beauty aisles for hours, or you just want to get what you need and get the hell out, I’m here to help you do it. And, since the beauty industry can often be super stuffy, over-the-top, and full of itself, I’m gonna make sure every piece of beauty education that I serve up is smothered humorous, sarcasm-y goodness.
